We are thrilled to share the exciting news that four incredibly talented illustrators have joined our Caper family this month! AMAO


AMAO is a multi-talented artist who specializes in illustration, motion design, and VR art. Currently based in Shanghai, China, AMAO holds a degree from Osaka University of Arts and gained valuable experience as a motion designer while living and working in Japan. After returning to China, she established her own design studio called MOU, which focuses on illustration, motion design, art direction, and more.

AMAO has a global clientele and has worked on various projects and collaborations around the world. Her VR animation project was even exhibited at the China International Import Expo in 2019, showcasing her innovative and cutting-edge approach to art and design. With her diverse skill set and artistic vision, AMAO is a valuable addition to our team of illustrators at Caper. We're excited to see her unique talents and creative contributions come to life in our future projects.

Iris Lei

Iris Lei is a freelance illustrator based in Beijing, China. She holds a BFA degree in Illustration from the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design, which she earned in 2018. Iris draws inspiration from science fiction and tattoo designs, and her work often reflects her fascination with technology and its impact on human society in the future.

With a keen eye for detail and a unique artistic style, Iris brings her own creative perspective to her illustrations. Her artwork is characterized by bold colors, intricate details, and a sense of futuristic aesthetics. Iris's illustrations are thought-provoking and often convey a sense of wonder and curiosity about the possibilities of the future.

Toyoya Li

Toyoya Li is a pixel and GIF artist, works and lives in Beijing. He creates pixel-style animations and comics. He has published independent comics as <loop>, <peach man>, <ear hole>, and <new star>. He is interested in fancy and weird graphics and animations, and has built his own brand ‘low quality’, collecting and using 80-90's digital products for inspiration.

Toyoya Li specializes in creating prints, animations, and GIFs in pixel form. His works are heavily influenced by early retro 8-bit games and the electronic culture of the 80s and 90s. Using abstract graphics and wild imagination, he creates pixel art that is both trendy and nostalgic.

In recent years, his works have focused on exploring the fusion between the individual and the electronic data age.

Yuewei Shi

Yuewei Shi, a talented illustrator based in New York, brings her unique perspective to the world of art. With a focus on editorial illustrations, commercial illustrations, books, and surface design, Yuewei draws inspiration from her interests, experiences, and culture to create captivating artworks.

Yuewei's creative process involves taking objects and settings from reality and transforming them with her imagination and humor. She enjoys building imaginary worlds and drawing unique characters that are filled with personality and charm. Her illustrations often showcase a playful and whimsical style that invites viewers into her creative universe.

In addition to her digital illustrations, Yuewei also has a passion for printmaking. She specializes in techniques such as silkscreen, etching, monotype print, and risograph, which adds a tactile and unique quality to her artworks. Her skillful use of color, composition, and texture results in visually captivating illustrations that are rich in detail and storytelling.
